DONG NAI APPROVES THE AEON MALL PROJECT WITH A BUDGET OF OVER 6,000 BILLION VND.

Aeon Mall Biên Hòa Shopping Center has recently been approved for detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 with an investment capital of over 6,000 billion VND.

According to the decision, the shopping center project in Hiệp Hòa Ward, Biên Hòa City, covers an area of nearly 12 hectares, adjacent to Đặng Văn Trơn Street. This location was proposed by Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd. to invest in its first shopping center in Đồng Nai province, according to the investment memorandum signed in May 2022.

Of the total area, more than 10 hectares will be used for constructing the shopping center and supporting facilities, while the remaining area will be used for building three surrounding roads. The overall construction density of the area will not exceed 60%. The main building will have a maximum height of 8 floors, while the remaining structures will be one floor high.

The project has a total investment capital of approximately 6,100 billion VND, including compensation costs and resettlement support of over 2,200 billion VND. The investor is required to have a capital contribution of over 1,200 billion VND. The objective of the project is to develop a comprehensive commercial and service center, including dining, entertainment, and children’s play areas, with an environmentally friendly architecture.

The project is expected to complete phase one in the second quarter of 2027 and commence phase two in the second quarter of 2028.

The investment decision for the shopping center in Hiệp Hòa Ward was approved in August 2023 through the investor selection process. Viet Phat Corporation is the sole registered investor. This company was established in 2008 and is primarily engaged in the transportation of goods, warehouse services, construction, real estate leasing, and mineral processing.

In addition to the above project, the second Aeon Mall shopping center in Đồng Nai is planned to be implemented between 2026 and 2030.

Last year, during a meeting with the Prime Minister in May, the CEO of Aeon Corporation stated that they would develop approximately 20 shopping centers in Vietnam, focusing on supermarkets and entertainment. In September, Aeon Mall is expected to open the largest shopping center in Central Vietnam in Huế, with a total investment capital of nearly 4,000 billion VND.
